Version
1.61: Feurio! CD-Manager: - Compression
of the CDDB database:
The CDDB database can now be compressed - this saves ca. 50% harddisk memory
space (i.e. ca. 80 MB).
To compress the one existing database, it has to be imported again.
- Error corrections:
Some MP3s with a certain type of defect caused Feurio! to crash -> corrected.
Take-over of mp3 play lists: In some cases when taking over the tracks from the
mp3 list they were sorted: of course it would make more sense to take over the
track order from the play list -> corrected.
Feurio! CD-Writer: - Supports
"Just Link" (Ricohs Burn-Proof Variant):
As of now Feurio! also supports Ricoh "JustLink". "JustLink" is like BurnProof
- just under a different name.
- New Diagnosis Function: "Test Bus Transfer":
We have included a new diagnosis function in Feurio!: "Test Bus Transfer" (Menu:
Extras in the Feurio! CD-Writer") tests the transfer of data using an SCSI or
IDE-BUS. In doing so, you can find out a) if the data is transferred correctly
(and not for example changed by a defective cable) and b) the transfer rate can
be measured and thus it can be determined if the drive can be accessed optimally.
Comment: This function only works if the drive supports two special diagnosis
commands for this purpose - unfortunately these commands are not supported by
many CD writers.
- Burn-Proof-Counter:
If supported by the burner, as of now Feurio! can tell you AFTER burning whether
(when using Burn-Proof) a "Buffer Underrun" would have occurred and was prevented
by using "Burn-Proof".
Unfortunately this is currently only supported by the Sanyo/Brainwave BP-4.
- New CD Burners:
The following burners are now supported as well:
Teac CD-W516E (inkl. CD-Text)
Plextor PX-W1610A (incl. CD-Text)
Mitsumi 4805TE (incl. CD-Text)
Mitsumi 4804TU (USB CD-Writer) (incl. CD-Text)
TDK VeloCD ReWriter 16/10/40 (incl. CD-Text)
Creative CD-RW 8435E (no guarantee)
Philips CDD 4805
Phillips CDD 4851
NEC NR-7700A
- Error Corrections:
Deleting CD-RWs did not work properly on several models in the Sony CRX series
(e.g. CRX140e) as well as some HP burners -> corrected.
