Version
1.22: Feurio! CD-Manager: - Improved
handling of reading errors:
If a reading error occurs while reading an audio track of a CD a dialog box
will appear, that now also contains (besides the recent options "Retry", "Ignore"
and "Cancel") the options "Ignore all" (ignore all further errors) and "Cancel
& Save" (cancel and save the part already read).
- Playing projects with "Special index 0 marks" corrected:
From now on the Feurio! Wave Player plays projects with "special index 0 marks"
exactly as the CD-Player would do, i. e. when directly seeking a track the player
will start with index 1.
- Reworked special parameters dialog:
The "Special parameters" dialog has been reworked. It has been divided up into
several property sheets, the options have been spread to the several sheets.
Also the new property sheet "Error correction" has been added. The error handling
of the CD-ROM (if the CD-ROM permits a modification of the error correction)
can be changed here.
- Reading audio tracks from "CD-Extra" CDs:
CD-Extra CDs (CDs that contain two sessions: one session with audio tracks and
a FOLLOWING session with a data track) could cause problems, since the "end"
of the last audio track contains the lead-out of the first session. Until now
a) the wrong length of the last track has been displayed, b) there were reading
errors when reading the last track.
From now on CD-Extra CDs will be recognized correctly, the length of the last
track is correct now and reading out should also work correctly. Furthermore
the end of the session will be displayed in the track list of the CD.
Note: It may be that some CD-ROMs are not able to read the session information
correctly. Please contact me, if you have such a CD-ROM!
- Import of play lists implemented:
At the menu "Project" theres now an entry "Add a file list". With the help of
this entry you can add a file list (e.g. a WinAmp Playlist) to a project.
All file lists with one file name per row can be used.
- "Normal" image files implemented:
From now on Feurio! can even import "normal" data images and burn them as a
data track. The data image files must have the suffix "*.img" or "*.bin" and
must contain the track data in raw format, i. e. without the header.
- Error corrections:
If a CD has been found in the cdplayer.ini database, it could be only played
after restarting Feurio! -> fixed.
Database view -> Copy to Clipboard: If you have selected several CD, the data
of all selected CDs will now be copied to the clipboard (not just the first CD).
If you have selected a MP3 and a normal wave file at the "Add wave files" and
tried to "Decompress MP3 files" afterwards, the system crashed -> fixed.
If you have selected several MP3 files at "Add wave files" and tried to "Decompress
files" afterwards, it could happen (with a certain order of the files' selection),
that Feurio! "mixes up" the files, i.e. some files have been decompressed with
the wrong file names.
Feurio! CD-Writer: - System
diagnostic implemented:
An entry "System diagnostic" was included in the "Special" menu. With "System
diagnostic" it is possible to diagnose problems with the ASPI drivers and installed
system drivers. Problems with these drivers are often the reason for errors during
the burning of a CD. If you receive strange error messages, please check your
system with this option first!
- CD-Extra CDs:
Until now the attempt to copy a CD-Extra CD always caused a read error. From
now on CD-Extra CDs are correctly recognized by Feurio!
- Direct burning of data images:
The burning of data tracks was simplified.
If only a data track shall be burned (a simple CD-ROM, no Mixed mode CD), this
one can now be selected directly in the Feurio! CD-Writer (choose "Other CD",
under "File type:" choose "Nero images" or "ISO images", select the desired image
file - and a CD with one data track will be burned). This way is faster than
first creating a project.
- Odds and ends:
Set "Digital copy allowed" at copying:
On special request I inserted an additional checkbox "Digital copy allowed" under
"Program parameter" -> "Special parameter". If this is checked the "Digital
copy allowed" flag will not be copied as usually but always be set to "Allowed"
(e.g. for doing a digital copy to MiniDisc later).
Leave session open with TEAC CDR 50/55, JVC 2010, 2001, 2626:
With these writers (TEAC CDR50/55; JVC 2001, 2020, 2626) its now possible in
professional mode to leave the session open. Thanks for your feedback if this
works correctly.
Computer shutdown while burning :
The shutdown of the computer while burning a CD isnt possible any more.
- Corrected bugs:
No memory for image copy found:
If you tried to do a image copy of a CD containing CD-Text information, the error
"No memory for image copy..." occurred. -> Fixed
Error message "Error in CD structure":
There is a stupid error in Version 1.21. Some CD drives cant deal with the "Quick
detect" routine, so this function can be disabled. Unfortunately at some certain
device settings the setting of the "Quick detect" switch was ignored, this means
that the "Quick detect" was ALWAYS executed - this of course caused the "Error
in CD structure". -> Fixed.
"on-the-fly" copy of CDs, whose track 1, index 1 dont start at the position
00:02:00:
Normally track 1, index 1 of a CD starts at position 00:02:00. Also there are
CDs where track 1, index 1 starts at a higher position. In version 1.21 there
was a bug (caused by the handling of data CDs) that caused the tracks to be shifted
about the difference between the real starting position of track1, index 1 and
position 00:02:00. -> Fixed.
- New CD writers:
Now the following writers are supported too::
TEAC CD-R 58S
Aopen CRW9420
