Feurio Questions & Answers - Feurio! CD-Writer general questions:
Does Feurio! burn the Feurio! or writer serial number on the CD as well?

Question: I am very interested in data protection. Does Feurio! burn personal data (e.g. my Feurio! serial number, my license details, the serial number of my Pentium-III or the serial number of my CD writer) on the CD as well?

Answer: Of course not. We are also very interested in data protection.
Feurio! doesn't burn any data which identifies you in any shape or form.
Comment: If a CD-TEXT CD is burned, the current date is also burned on the CD (Reason: CD-TEXT requires a clear "Disc-ID" field. This field is filled with the text "FeurioBurn <Current date>".

Note: However there are several CD writers which AUTOMATICALLY (i.e. not controlled by Feurio!) burn their serial number on to the CD as well. Known for this is the TEAC CD-R56/CD-R58. On this, see: "Feurio! burns incorrect ISRC-Codes".
Before you send us thousands of questions on this: No we do NOT have a list of which writer burns your serial number in what format on the CDs - as far as we know there is no way of reading these serial numbers DEFINITELY with "normal" CD-ROMs (occasionally it is possible to read them with "old" CD-ROMs as described under "Feurio! burns incorrect ISRC-Codes").
Ask the vendor of your CD writer on this!
