Frequently Asked Questions - Definition:
Disc-at-Once recording
In Disc-at-Once mode the whole CD incl. lead-in und lead-out (start- and end
zone) is written at once without the write laser being switched off.
In opposite to this, in "Track-at-Once"
mode each track is written separately, after each track the write laser is switched
off. Because of the switching on/off the write laser, an "undefined" area originates
between the single tracks.
A CD normally has a continous track from start to end (like a record). Many audio
CD-Players have problems with the "undefined" areas caused by the "Track-at-Once"
mode.
For additional information see: "Track-at-Once".
For this reasons Feurio! exclusively uses Disc-at-Once for recording if the CD-Writer
supports Disc-at-Once.
If a CD-Writer doesn't support Disc-at-Once, the recording will be done in Track-at-Once
mode. This will have several effects on the CD's quality, for additional information
read the warning message that appears before doing a Track-at-once recording!
