Difference between Download version and CD version
Question: I have noticed that I can
either download Feurio!® (and then get the key per e-mail, post or fax) or
I can order a CD. Is there a difference between the download version and the
CD version?
Answer:
There is no difference. In principle the download and the CD
versions are identical. The only difference is that the installation program
of the download version is compressed (to reduce transfer time) - but once installed
the download and CD versions are identical.
The CD version also includes the Feurio! manual (in PDF format) as well as the
respective current version of the freedb database at the time the CD was pressed.
The manual is also included in "large" download version, if you take the "small"
download version, you can subsequently download the manual from the Feurio! Homepage

So the only advantage of the CD version is that you have got everything together
on one CD, the disadvantage is that the CD version is not always as up-to-date
as the download version.
